Explore, experience and enjoy the once top-secret world of iconic Codebreaking Huts and Blocks set within an atmospheric Victorian estate. Bletchley Park is a place of exceptional historical importance. It remains highly relevant to our lives today and for the future. It is the home of British codebreaking and a birthplace of modern information technology. It played a major role in World War Two, producing secret intelligence which had a direct and profound influence on the outcome of the conflict. Over the past twenty years Bletchley Park has become an internationally renowned site, visited by people from around the world, which acknowledges the successes from the War and the people responsible for them. It celebrates their values: broad-minded patriotism; commitment; discipline; technological excellence. By presenting and explaining these achievements and these values, in the very place where they occurred, Bletchley Park brings together the dramatic history of the twentieth century with the challenges we face in the twenty first in our rapidly changing and technologically complex society. Visitors can enjoy a full day out at Bletchley Park. Unmissable exhibitions in restored wartime buildings include: The Intelligence Factory in Block A; Hut 11A: The Bombe Breakthrough; the immersive cinematic experience D-Day: Interception, Intelligence, Invasion; and the Block B museum, where you can see the largest display of Enigma machines on public display in the world. Pickup a complimentary Multimedia Guide from the Visitor Centre and explore the site at your own pace and in your own time. A special family version is available to help children learn about WW2 codebreaking whilst having fun with puzzles and challenges. Top Secret Mission Packs (£1) are also on offer to help children unlock the site's secrets. Delicious, seasonal hot and cold food and drinks are available in the Hut 4 cafĂ© (take-away and eat in), and a playground nearby is the perfect place for children to let off steam. Don't forget to visit the gift shop on your way home to pick-up special souvenirs and exclusive Bletchley Park products.
