  • Seat numbers are not allocated. Seats are available on a first come first served basis. Once you have found a seat on the coach this will be your seat for the day. Please do not sit in anyone else’s seat. Occasionally we do have spare seats and these may be used if you wish to move seats. All passengers must wear a seatbelt.
  • Food and drink may be eaten on the coach but please take your rubbish with you otherwise the coach company may take away this privilege.
  • Hot food and alcoholic drinks are not allowed on the coach.
  • If you are listening to music or playing games on electronic devices please use headphones so as not to disturb other passengers.
  • At all convenience stops passengers must leave the coach as we have to lock the coach. For safety reasons passengers cannot be left on a locked coach
  • You may leave your personal belongings on the coach during the day, but they are left at your own risk, the organisers or the coach company do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal items whatsoever
  • Any damage to the vehicle must be paid for by the person concerned
  • All children under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult (18yrs+).

Tickets:

  • Entrance tickets and theatre tickets will always be given to you on the day

Departure times:

  • During your journey, we will give instructions regarding the time of departure from each stop. Please make sure you note these details carefully as we will have to leave without you if you are late, to avoid inconvenience to the other passengers. In this event we will not be liable for any costs you incur.

Meeting friends:

  • We always try to park in a convenient, central location, but it is not always possible and sometimes arrangements have to be altered on the day. We suggest you plan to meet at a suitable well-known landmark or cafe, or exchange mobile phone numbers!

Photography:

  • Photographs may be taken while on our events, and may be used for publicity. If you do not wish your photo to appear in any of our publicity material please put your request in writing to Hallam Travel at the address below.

Cancellations:

  • Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless places can be resold once we have sold out. Please telephone as soon as possible as sometimes we have a waiting list. Please note that all refunds and exchanges will be subject to a £5 per ticket administration fee.
  • We reserve the right to withdraw an excursion due to lack of support. This rarely happens and cancellation would not usually be made later than three weeks before departure. In such cases your fare would be refunded in full and this would be the limit of our liability
  • It is always our intention to operate an excursion in accordance with the published itinerary but we must reserve the right to cancel or amend any excursion, should circumstances make this necessary, either prior to or during an outing. We cannot accept liability for changes made necessary by events or actions by persons beyond our control. Compensation payments do not apply to changes caused by reasons of war; riots; civil strife; terrorist activity; industrial disputes; natural or nuclear disasters; fire; epidemic or health risk; technical problems to transport; port or airport closures; adverse weather conditions and similar events beyond our control.
  • All arrangements made for meals, visits, theatre, etc., and for the use of road vehicles, trains, or any other means of conveyance operated by persons or bodies other than ourselves, are made by us as agents for and behalf of our passengers and on the express conditions that we will not be responsible for any loss, damage, injury delays or inconvenience caused or sustained by passengers other than by the negligence of ourselves. Any terms and conditions imposed by such other contractors through ourselves shall be binding on the passengers as if they had directly contracted such services.

Special Care For The Disabled:

  • Some excursions involve long journeys, and lengthy walking and some visitor attractions may have steps and no lifts. We always make a special effort to help disabled customers to travel on our tours and if you tell us about your disability when you book, it will help us to help you. Our staff will be happy to provide general assistance to passengers but will not be expected to provide assistance that extends to the bodily lifting and carrying of any passengers, or to act as carers for customers during the tour. We are happy to transport wheelchairs and scooters, at your own risk, and we cannot be held responsible for any damage to them but, due to Health & Safety legislation, you must be able to load and unload, assemble and dismantle your own scooters (into no more than five pieces) and each piece must weigh less than 40lbs.
