The itinerary will include

Day 1 Depart from Spalding at 8am, there will be a short stop, followed by a longer stop at Trentham Gardens, to arrive at the hotel at 4pm

Day 2 We will make our way to Llangollen via the Horseshoe Pass for a two-hour trip on the motorised canal boat Thomas Telford on the Llangollen Canal. It will carry you through the beautiful Vale of Llangollen and across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct built by Thomas Telford between 1795 and 1805. This length of canal is a World Heritage Site. The country's biggest navigable aqueduct towers a massive 126ft (38m) above the River Dee supported by 18 stone piers. The canal runs through an iron trough 1007 feet (306.9 metres) long, 11 feet 10 inches (3.6 metres) wide and 5 feet 3 inches (1.6 metres) deep. Water is fed from the River Dee at the Horseshoe Falls near Llangollen. The purpose-built motor narrowboat the Thomas Telford is fully weather proof and is centrally heated with comfortable seats and excellent views from every table. There is an informative live commentary on board and the bar is open throughout the journey. This journey will include a Welsh cream tea.

Day 3 When it comes to beautiful cities, Chester is one of the loveliest and on every tourist's 'must see' itinerary. The city comfortably ranks alongside the cities of London, York, Bath and Edinburgh. As soon as you arrive in Chester you will appreciate the city's unique atmosphere and sense of history.
Founded by the Romans over 2000 years ago, much of the Roman influence remains and Chester's city walls are the most complete in Britain. In every corner of the city you are confronted with history, from the Roman amphitheatre, which is currently under excavation, to the medieval half-timbered buildings. One of Chester's most unique features are the two-tiered rows, which means you can shop whatever the weather and gives you double shopping fun! Chester Cathedral was founded as a Benedictine monastery over 900 years ago and attracts hundreds of thousand visitors per year. Despite so much history and heritage, Chester is a vibrant, dynamic city full of bars, pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants which means each time you visit you will discover something new.

Day 4 A guided tour with a qualified guide, of the Port Sunlight Village. Created as a perfect model village, Port Sunlight is the ideal destination for a day out. Relax in peaceful surroundings and see outstanding art. Only a short distance from Liverpool city centre, Port Sunlight seems like another world. A model village created by Lord Leverhulme in the late 19th century; it was originally built as a home for workers at the nearby Lever factory. It was the work of over 30 architects and is now beautifully maintained by proud residents to look almost exactly as it did when first built. Discover the story of the village at the Port Sunlight Museum, from its beginnings to its current status as a working, living tourist destination.
